Flute And Fiddle Club

Flute And Fiddle Club

While going through some old things I found a picture of me playing horn from a performance of the “Flute and Fiddle Club”.

The Flute and Fiddle Club was a small chamber orchestra that my dad, me, and some of my siblings played with at different times. It was run by Everett Millard, who my parents had bought the property for our childhood home.

The Flute and Fiddle Club rehearsed in the living room of the log cabin home where Everett Millard lived on the shores of Lake Michigan in Highland Park Illinois.

I found a link to some history on the group (http://highlandparkhistory.libraryhost.com/index.php/highland-park-music-club) and the house (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sylvester_Millard_House).

The other picture shows my father playing violin or viola to the right of the flute player.
